I was born in Riobamba - Ecuador, in 1995. I received my degree in Electronics Engineering from the Universidad Polit ́ecnica Salesiana – Cuenca, Ecuador, and my M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence from the UNIR - Universidad Internacional de La Rioja. From 2019 to 2020, I worked as a research assistant at Universidad Politécnica Salesiana – Cuenca, Ecuador, developing electronic systems for acquisition and processing of biomedical signals and in decision-making processes. Currently, I am studying a M.Eng. in Electronics Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico – Universidade de Lisboa – Lisbon, Portugal, with a Minor in Applications of Engineering in Health. Since 2012, I have been a student member of the Institute of Electric and Electronic Engineers, having served as vice-chair, and EMBS technical chapter chair at IEEE UPS Cuenca Student Branch in 2016 and 2017 respectively, and as a SAC (Student Activities Committee) Team member from 2018-2021. My main research interests are biomedical signal processing and artificial intelligence on-the-edge. The scope of the topics I am currently interested in encompasses FPGA and embedded systems development, and signal and image analysis for medical and industry applications.
