Research Assistant - Level I

| website: https://orcid.org/0009-0003-9959-678X

She is a Biomedical Engineering student at Universidad Yachay Tech, Ecuador. Her research experience spans medical image analysis, multimodal deep learning, bioinformatics, and physiological signal processing. In medical imaging, she has contributed to weakly supervised segmentation of metastatic lesions in whole-body bone scintigraphy, and to the development of a stacked ensemble pipeline integrating ResNet50V2, a custom CNN, anatomical fusion, and U-Net segmentation for brain tumor classification and delineation in MRI. In multimodal deep learning, she has worked on patient-level lung adenocarcinoma staging by integrating histopathological images processed through Attention MIL, RNA-Seq gene expression data reduced via PCA, and clinical metadata into a unified CatBoost classification framework. In bioinformatics, she has contributed to the de novo computational design of protein inhibitors targeting MMP-13 using RoseTTAFold, ProteinMPNN, and AlphaFold2-Multimer pipelines, and to the sequence-based classification of bacteriocins from lactic acid bacteria using CD-HIT clustering. She has also participated in the development of AI systems for physiological signal processing applied to health monitoring. Her technical work is primarily developed in Python, with additional experience in MATLAB, R, and C, and includes hands-on use of PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, Rosetta, and AlphaFold toolchains.
