Héctor, born in Pasto, Colombia, in 1986, is a Systems Engineer from the University of Nariño, class of 2013. He completed a specialization in Software Construction at the University of Nariño in 2015 and in 2020 obtained a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence from the International University of La Rioja, Spain. In the professional sector, he has worked as a software developer at institutions such as the University of Nariño, ASC Ingeniería, CEDENAR, and the Mining and Energy Planning Unit attached to the Ministry of Mines and Energy. Since 2018, he has been a professor and researcher at higher education institutions such as the Autonomous University Corporation of Nariño, the University of Nariño, and CESMAG University. He is currently a full-time research professor at CESMAG University and a part-time professor at the University of Nariño. His main areas of research include satellite signal processing, alternative energies, biomedical signal processing, machine learning, deep learning, kernel learning, and software engineering. In the academic-research field, he has worked mainly with Python, using libraries such as TensorFlow and Scikit-learn for machine learning, Geopandas, Rasterio, and OpenCV for satellite image analysis, as well as WFDB and HeartPy for ECG signal processing. In industrial environments, his experience includes C#, Java, PHP, and frameworks such as MVC.NET and Angular.
