He is a researcher specializing in bioengineering and artificial intelligence. He earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Universidad Nacional de Colombia in 2008 and 2010, and completed his Ph.D. at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 2018. Since 2021, he has been a postdoctoral researcher at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) in the BioRobotics group, where he leads work on AI for Neuroengineering. His research focuses on machine learning for biomedical applications, complexity and nonlinear dynamics in biosignal analysis, speech and speaker recognition, and studying neurodegenerative disorders using bioengineering approaches.
